Who we are.

At every turn “excellence” and the desire to leave a positive impact is the driving force of our vision and values.

Our story begins in 2006 with the renovation and rehab of a small 4-unit apartment building on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, with the philosophy to always put design and quality first. Over the years Madison has successively completed multiple projects, many of them award winning and today produces some of the most sought-after ground-up new construction projects in Washington DC.

As a company that is vertically integrated our hands-on approach to development is and has always been of the outmost importance to us. From acquisition, development programming onto design and construction, our projects are our most important creations, and our tenants, homebuyers and investors are our most valued measure of success, thus we treat each one with the highest standard of care.

We realize that our impact as a developer is one that has long lasting effect, therefore, community engagement, careful planning, exceptional design, and environmental impact all play a key role in our decision making. Whether it is seeking the highest LEED certification, engaging with, and supporting the local art community or advancing the neighborhood and our surroundings by implementing thoughtful design, at every turn “excellence” and the desire to leave a positive impact is the driving force of our vision and values.

Today we have taken our collective expertise to new strategically selected markets throughout the US with a view to expanding our footprint nationally with exciting new projects in Austin, TX and Nashville, TN.

Art & the Local Community Engagement

We see our development projects as an opportunity to engage with the local arts community and by proxy the city, artists have a unique place in our societies and are an essential component, whether it is allowing our temporary walkways and construction banners to be a canvas for local graffiti and city artists or collaborating to throw large scale art events in collaboration with the local community.

Developments can be an opportunity to celebrate the past and welcome the future, and what better way to do that than with Art.
